The paper defines Hochschild and cyclic homology in the setting of bornological coarse spaces introduced by \textit{U. Bunke} et al. [Contemp. Math. 749, 13--104 (2020; Zbl 1442.18023)]. Those new theories are compared with controlled operator \(K\)-theory and coarse cohomology by \textit{J. Roe} [Lectures on coarse geometry. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (AMS) (2003; Zbl 1042.53027)] via natural transformations. In particular Hochschild and cyclic homology of the one-point space are computed. If \(G\) is a group then \(G\)-equivariant Hochschild/ cyclic homology of \(G\) with coefficient in \(k\) equals Hochschild/ cyclic homology of the \(k\)-algebra \(k[G]\).
