Extending structures for dendriform algebras

From MaRDI portal

A dendriform algebra has two products \(\prec\) and \(\succ\), with the axioms\N\begin{align*}\N(x\prec y)\prec z&=x\prec(y\prec z+y\succ z),\\\N(x\succ y)\prec z&=x\succ (y\prec z),\\\Nx\succ (y\succ z)&=(x\prec y+x\succ y)\succ z.\N\end{align*}\NThis paper deals with three classical problems for algebraic structures:\N\begin{itemize}\N\item[1.] Extensions: if \(D\) is a dendriform algebra and \(E\) a vector space containing \(D\), what are the possible dendriform structures on \(E\) extending the one of \(D\), up to equivalence? This problem is theoretically solved with the introduction of extension datum and of flag datum.\N\item[2.] Matched pairs: if \(D\) and \(D'\) are dendriform algebras, what are the possible dendriform structures on \(D\oplus D'\), extending the ones of \(D\) and \(D'\)? This is theoretically solved with the introduction of crossed products of dendriform algebras, and various simplifications of this construction, such as direct product, semi-direct product, cocycle semi-direct product.\N\item[3.] Deformations: if \(E\) is an extension of a dendriform algebra \(D\), what are the dendriform complements of \(D\) into \(E\), and what is the number of isoclasses of such complements? This is theoretically solved with the introduction of deformation maps, in particular when \(E\) has a retraction to \(D\).\N\end{itemize}
