Holonomic Poisson geometry of Hilbert schemes
Fundamental constructions in algebraic geometry involving higher and derived categories (homotopical algebraic geometry, derived algebraic geometry, etc.) (14A30) Local deformation theory, Artin approximation, etc. (14B12) Parametrization (Chow and Hilbert schemes) (14C05) Poisson manifolds; Poisson groupoids and algebroids (53D17)
In [Manuscr. Math. 97, No. 4, 517--527 (1998; Zbl 0945.53049)], \textit{F. Bottacin} introduced a natural Poisson structure on the Hilbert scheme parametrizing zero-dimensional subschemes of a smooth projective surface X, generalizing the celebrated symplectic structures on the Hilbert schemes of K3 and abelian surfaces due to \N\textit{A. Beauville} [J. Differ. Geom. 18, 755--782 (1983; Zbl 0537.53056)] and \textit{S. Mukai} [Invent. Math. 77, 101--116 (1984; Zbl 0565.14002)]. This paper furthers the study of the rich geometry underlying Bottacin's Poisson structures, with the following three main contributions: \N\begin{itemize}\N\item[(1)] The authors construct the symplectic groupoids of these Hilbert schemes and give a complete classification of their symplectic leaves; \N\item[(2)] They establish local normal forms for the corresponding Poisson brackets and, combining these with a toric degeneration argument, verify that the Hilbert schemes satisfy the authors' recent conjecture characterizing holonomic Poisson manifolds; \N\item[(3)] They compute the space of first-order Poisson deformations in the case where the anticanonical divisor is reduced and has only quasihomogeneous singularities.\N\end{itemize}\NFurthermore, the authors uncover a close connection between the Poisson geometry of the Hilbert schemes and the finite-dimensional Lie algebras of affine transformations.
