Inequalities and equalities for the Cartesian decomposition of complex matrices
From MaRDI portal
Let \(C=A+iB\), where \(A\) and \(B\) are Hermitian matrices. The authors discuss equalities and inequalities for the eigenvalues and singular values of the matrices \(A,B\) and \(C\). Known results on inequalities are surveyed, new results on equality cases are proved and open problems are mentioned.
