Inequalities for the gamma function

From MaRDI portal

The author proves some sharp upper and lower bounds for the gamma function at positive real \(x\) and presents some Stirling-type formulas for \(n!\) which refine and improve the classical Stirling approximation \(\Gamma(n+1)=n!\sim n^ne^{-n}\sqrt{2\pi n}.\)
