Let \(k\) be field of characteristic zero and \(P_n\) the space of polynomials in \(n\) variables over \(k\). The Jacobian algebra \(\mathbb{A}_n\) is the subalgebra in the endomorphism algebra of the space \(P_n\) generated by the operators of multiplication by \(X_1,\dots,X_n\), by partial derivatives \(\tfrac{\partial}{\partial{X_1}},\dots,\tfrac{\partial}{\partial{X_n}}\) and by the inverse operators \((\tfrac{\partial}{\partial{X_1}})^{-1},\dots,(\tfrac{\partial}{\partial{X_n}})^{-1}\). It is shown that each ideal in \(\mathbb{A}_n\) is idempotent and any two ideals commute. The lattice of ideals in \(\mathbb{A}_n\) is distributive. There is a unique largest ideal \(I\) in \(\mathbb{A}_n\) and the Gelfand-Kirillov dimension of \(\mathbb{A}_n/J\) is equal to \(3n\) for any proper ideal \(J\) in \(\mathbb{A}_n\). Each proper ideal in \(\mathbb{A}_n\) has a unique factorization into a product (an intersection) of incomparable primes. There is found the group of units in \(\mathbb{A}_n\) and its center.
