In this paper, the authors investigate the solution stability for the following parametric variational inequality, which consists in finding \(x(\mu,\lambda)\) such that \[ 0 \in f(\mu,x)+N_{K(\lambda)}(x), \] where \(E\) is a reflexive Banach space with dual \(E^*\), \(\Omega\) and \(\Lambda\) are topological vector spaces, \(F: \Omega\times E \rightarrow {E^*}\) is a single-valued map, and \(K: \Lambda\rightarrow 2^E\) is a set-valued map. They introduce a localized version of generalized normal mappings as well as generalized natural mappings. By using these concepts and based on the scheme of \textit{S.\,M.\thinspace Robinson} [Set-Valued Anal.\ 12, No.\,1--2, 259--274 (2004); errata ibid.\ 14, No.\,2, 207 (2006; Zbl 1066.47064)] as well as degree theory, they establish some results on the solution stability of parametric variational inequalities and some homeomorphisms between the solution sets in reflexive Banach space. They show that, under certain conditions, the solution set of variational inequalities and the solution set of normal maps are homeomorphic. A theorem on the lower semicontinuity of the solution map is also established. The results presented in this paper extend some corresponding results of Robinson [loc.\,cit.] from finite-dimensional spaces to the case of reflexive Banach spaces.
