The author generalizes and unifies the notion of the spectral radius and its max version for non-negative matrices to the setting of non-negative measurable functions on a product measure space. He generalizes some known results for the Hadamard weighted geometric mean of positive kernel operators and applies them to obtain some inequalities concerning the generalized spectral radius and its max version. He gives a new description of the maximum cycle geometric mean as well.
