Łojasiewicz exponents and resolution of singularities (Q1038680)

This well written paper contains an effective method to compute the Łojasiewicz exponent of an arbitrary sheaf of ideals of \({\mathcal O}_X,\) where \(X\) is a non-singular sheme. The method is based on the algorithm of resolution of singularities given by \textit{A. M. Bravo, S. Encinas} and \textit{O. Villamayor U.} [Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 21, No.~2, 349--458 (2005; Zbl 1086.14012)]. Examples are provided to show how the method extends the existing literature on the subject.
