The Łojasiewicz exponent of an ideal \(I\) can be expressed using the Samuel multiplicity of powers of the ideal as \(\inf\{\frac pq\mid e(I^q)=e(I^q+\mathfrak{m}^p)\}\). Using Rees mixed multiplicities the first author generalised the definition of Łojasiewicz exponent to a collection of ideals [Math. Z. 262, No. 2, 389--409 (2009; Zbl 1168.32022)]. In this paper, an expression is given in the case of a collection of ideals which are pieces of a weighted homogeneous filtration. The result is an inequality in terms of the weights, which turns into an equality under a certain restriction, called the existence of a \(w\)-matching. The formula is applied to the computation of the Łojasiewicz exponent of the gradient of a semi-weighted homogeneous function with isolated singularity at the origin: the inequality \(\mathcal{L}_0(\nabla f)\leq \frac{d-\min w_i}{\min w_i}\) always holds, with equality if all \(w_i\) divide \(d\). In the case of three variables, \textit{T. Krasinski}, \textit{G. Oleksik}, and \textit{A. Płoski} [``The Łojasiewicz exponent of an isolated weighted homogeneous surface singularity,'' Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 137, No. 10, 3387--3397 (2009; Zbl 1203.32009)] showed that equality holds under the condition \(2w_i\leq d\). The final example shows that strict inequality can occur without such restrictions.
