Continuity properties of the integrated density of states on manifolds (Q1043876)

The authors study continuity properties of the integrated density of states (IDS) of periodic Schrödinger operators on an amenable covering manifold. Two types of random Schrödinger operators are considered: Schrödinger operators with a random alloy-type potential on the manifold and Schrödinger operators defined on the manifold with a random metric. In both cases, Wegner type estimates are proved. As a consequence, the authors obtain local Hölder continuity of the IDS in \(\mathbb R\) and \(\mathbb R\setminus \{0\}\), respectively.
