Quantum graphs are Laplace or Schrödinger operators on metric graphs. In the paper for a wide class of quantum graphs the following results are obtained: - Under appropriate ergodicity and amenablity assumptions, the integrated density of states can be defined using an exhaustion procedure by compact subgraphs. - a trace per unit volume formula for the integrated density of states (IDS) - a Wegner estimate for random edge length models. This implies quantitative continuity estimates for the IDS.
