The paper deals with the delay differential equation \[ \dot x(t)+ f(t, x_{t,(\sigma,r)})= 0,\quad t\geq 0, \] with \(0\leq\sigma\leq r\), \(x_{t,(\sigma,r)}= x(t+ s)\), \(s\in [-r,-\sigma]\) and the function \(f: \mathbb{R}^+\times C_{[-r,-\sigma]}\to \mathbb{R}\) is continuous. The authors present sufficient and/or necessary conditions on the zero solution to (1) to be stable, and necessary and sufficient conditions for any nonoscillatory solution to (1) to converge to zero.
