The author studies stability in the \(C^1\)-norm of the class \(G\) generated by a sheaf \(N\) of solutions to the elliptic system \[ \sum_{l=1}^{m}\sum_{|{}p|{}=2}a_p^{jl}\partial^p g_l(x) = 0,\qquad j = 1,\dots, k, \] of second-order linear differential equations with constant real coefficients \(a_p^{jl}\). The class \(G\) is given in the form \(G = \bigcup_{U\subset\mathbb{R}^n}N(U)\), where \(N(U)\) is the set of sections of \(N\) over a domain \(U\subset \mathbb{R}^n\) and the union is taken over all domains in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). The stability is carried out in the framework of the concept of \(\xi^1\)-stability in the \(C^1\)-norm of classes of mappings. The author exposes a collection of theorems about \(\xi^1\)-stability of the classes generated by sheaves of solutions to the elliptic system \[ \sum_{l=1}^{m}\sum_{1\leq\mu\leq\nu\leq n}a_{\mu\nu}^{jl}\partial_{\mu\nu} g_l(x) = 0,\qquad j = 1,\dots, k. \] The main result of the theory of \(\xi^1\)-stability is stated as follows: If the above system is elliptic then the class \(G\) generated by a sheaf \(N\) of its solutions is \(\xi_{\rho}^1\)-stable for every \(\rho\in (0,1)\). Starting from the notion of \(\breve{\xi}_{\rho}^1\)-stability of classes of mappings, the author also shows that, under the hypotheses of the previous theorem, the class \(G\) of solutions to the system is \(\breve{\xi}_{\rho}^1\)-stable for \(0<\rho <1\). This theorem implies that every domain in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) is a domain of \(\breve{\xi}_0^1\)-stability for this class. As for the notion of a domain of \(\breve{\xi}_1^1\)-stability, it is proven that such geometrically simple domains as a polydisk may fail to be domains of \(\breve{\xi}_1^1\)-stability for the classes of solutions to the system. Next, assuming that \(G\) is the class of infinitely differentiable solutions to the system \[ L_jg(x)= \sum_{l=1}^{m}\sum_{|{}p|{}\leq 2}a_p^{jl}\partial^p g_l(x) = h_j(x),\qquad j = 1,\dots, k, \] where the coefficients \(a_p^{jl}\) and right-hand sides \(h_j\) are real-valued \(C^{\infty}\)-differentiable functions defined on \(\mathbb{R}^2\), the author proves that if the class \(G\) is \(\xi_{\rho}^1\)-stable then \(G\) is also the class of solutions to the second-order system of linear partial differential equations with constant coefficients which is constructed from the principal term \[ \sum_{l=1}^{m}\sum_{{}p{}=2}a_p^{jl}\partial^p, \qquad j = 1,\dots, k, \] and is elliptic. This result is supplemented by an assertion concerning the problems of stability in the \(C^1\)-norm of solutions to linear systems of arbitrary order.
