The author investigates the error of Hermitian interpolation with any nodes and any distribution of multiplicities in the nodes. The obtained estimate is a direct generalization of the estimate discussed by the same author in [Mat. Zametki 51, No. 1, 55-61 (1992; Zbl 0784.41005)]. Furthermore, this estimate also gives some refinement to the well-known Whitney Theorem.
