Let \({\mathfrak g}\) be a complex semi-simple Lie algebra and \(I\) be a maximal ideal of the center \(Z({\mathfrak g})\) of the universal enveloping algebra \(U({\mathfrak g})\). A construction of \textit{N. Conze} [Bull. Soc. Math. Fr. 102, 379-415 (1974; Zbl 0298.17012)] gives an algebra embedding of \(U({\mathfrak g})/U({\mathfrak g})I\) into the Weyl algebra \(A_m\), where \(m=(\dim{\mathfrak g}-\operatorname {rank}{\mathfrak g})/2\). In particular, \(A_m\) becomes a \({\mathfrak g}\)-module under the diagonal action. The presentation of \(A_m\) as a Weyl algebra leads to a natural filtration on \(A_m\), which is \({\mathfrak g}\)-stable. In the paper under review the author shows that the associated graded module for this filtration is injective in an appropriate version of the Bernstein-Gel'fand-Gel'fand category \(\mathcal{O}\) [\textit{I. N. Bernshtein, I. M. Gel'fand} and \textit{S. I. Gel'fand}, Category of \({\mathfrak g}\) modules. Funct. Anal. Appl. 10, 87-92 (1976); translation from Funkts. Anal. Prilozh. 10, No. 2, 1-8 (1976; Zbl 0353.18013)]. This corrects an inaccuracy in the proof of the corresponding claim in [\textit{A. Joseph}, J. Algebra 241, 27-45 (2001; Zbl 1014.17010)]. Warning: throughout the paper the Greek letter \(\phi\) is used as the notation for the empty set (which is usually denoted by \(\varnothing\)), which may confuse the reader.
