The authors study the class of algebras satisfying the property that all but at most finitely many non-isomorphic indecomposable modules are such that all their predecessors have projective dimension at most one, or all their successors have injective dimension at most one. They call such an algebra a laura algebra. The main result gives a description of the Auslander-Reiten quiver for a laura algebra. The complexity of the module category over such an algebra is discussed in the paper by the nilpotency of the infinite radical. This is an interesting paper. The more interesting thing could be that the class of laura algebras might have representation dimension at most three, since this is true for a special case of right (left) glued algebras by a recent result of \textit{F. U. Coelho} and \textit{M. I. Platzeck} [On the representation dimension of some classes of algebras, J. Algebra 275, No. 4, 615--628 (2004)]. For further information on the representation dimension one may see the papers of \textit{C.-C. Xi} [J. Algebra 226, No. 1, 332--346 (2000; Zbl 0960.16016), Adv. Math. 168, No. 2, 193--212 (2002; Zbl 1050.16004)], and \textit{O. Iyama} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 131, No. 4, 1011--1014 (2003; Zbl 1018.16010)].
