A note on log etale Čech cohomology (Q1592856)

In arithmetic geometry, it is important to have good comparison theorems between various cohomology theories such as Betti, étale, Čech, de Rham or crystalline cohomology. In the paper under review the author derives such a comparison theorem in the usual form of a comparison spectral sequence between log étale cohomology and log étale Čech cohomology for a certain class of log schemes. This can be viewed as a generalization of the comparison theorem of \textit{M. Artin} [Adv. Math. 7, 282-296 (1971; Zbl 0242.13021)] between étale cohomology and étale Čech cohomology.
