Coquasitriangular Hopf face algebras are studied in great detail. Drinfeld and group like functionals are established to be able to develop a classification theory of ribbon functionals. As a main result it is shown that `for each closable star-triangle face model \(({\mathcal G},w)\) over an algebraically closed field \(\mathbb{K}\) of \(\text{ch }\mathbb{K}\neq 2\), \(Hc({\mathcal A})\) has a ribbon functional.' These result are used to study all four series of classical groups obtaining a classification of the braiding and the ribbon structure on quantized classical groups and modular tensor categories, which are closely related to quantum \(\text{SU}(N)_L\)-invariants of 3-manifolds.
