It is demonstrated that the nonlinear heat equation \[ u_t=\text{div} u^\lambda \nabla u\;\;(x\in \mathbb R^n) \] has the family of exact solutions \[ u(x,t)=\bigl[\lambda[Z_1(x,t)]_+^p + \lambda [Z_1(x,t)]_+^q\bigr]_+^{1/\lambda}, \] where \[ Z_k(x,t)=\tfrac{1}{2}\bigl(x,A_k(t)x\bigr)+\bigl(x,B_k(t)\bigr)+C_k(t) \quad (k=1,2), \] \(A_k(t)\) are matrices with entries being some functions of \(t\geq 0\), \(B_k(t)\) is a vector-valued function, and \(C_k(t)\) is a function of \(t\). The symbol \([\cdot]_+\) stands for the function \(\max(\cdot,0)\). The system of ordinary differential equations for finding these auxiliary functions \(A_k,B_k,C_k\) is written out and the existence of solutions of these systems is justified. In some cases, the solutions are written out explicitly.
