The paper discusses examples of Gamow vectors, which are state vectors (eigenfunctions of the interaction Hamiltonian) corresponding to quantum exponentially decaying states or, in other terms, to poles of the associated S-matrix. Namely, the construction of the Gamow vectors is given for a central potential scattering, a one-dimensional lattice, and a model of creation of unstable particles.
