As a far-reaching generalization of group algebras, partial skew groupoid rings become a very useful tool in both ring theory and operator algebras. The results of this article point out that this construction can be also applied for not necessarily associative rings. The main results, Theorems 1.2 and 1.3, describe when an action of a groupoid \(G\) on a ring \(R\) which is either a non-associative ring or an alternative ring, respectively, results in an Artinian partial skew groupoid ring. Consequences of these results are discussed in Sections 4 and 5 for groupoid rings, partial groups and matrix rings as well as for Leavitt path algebras. In the last section, the relation between partial skew groupoid rings, Noetherian rings and the classical Maschke's theorem on finite group algebras, etc. are investigated.
