Let \({\mathcal U}\) be a small category, \({\mathcal A}\) a prestack on \({\mathcal U}\) and \({\mathcal M}\) a bimodule over \({\mathcal A}\), in Section 3, the authors construct a Gerstenhaber-Schack (GS) complex, \({\mathcal C}_{GS}^\bullet ({\mathcal A},{\mathcal M})\). The differential \(d\) introduced in this complex is more complicated than the one in the case of presheaf of \(k\)-linear categories. It is shown that second cohomology group classifies first order deformation of \(\mathcal A\) as a prestack, this generalizes previous results by the authors [\textit{H. D. Van} et al., Sel. Math., New Ser. 23, No. 2, 1061--1119 (2017; Zbl 1364.13013)]. Section 4 is devoted to the comparison of GS complex and Hochschild complex as defined by second author [\textit{W. Lowen}, Int. Math. Res. Not. 2008, Article ID rnn118, 32 p. (2008; Zbl 1160.13010)]. It is shown that there exists two explicit cochain maps between them and that they are inverse quasi-isomorphisms. Since the differential of the GS complex has infinite family of components, more elaborated combinatorial work is necessary. By transfering the dg Lie algebra structure of the Hochschild complex to the GS complex, an \(L_\infty\) structure of this complex, that determines the higher deformation theory of \(\mathcal A\) as a prestack, is obtained. This result is new even in the presheaf case and extends the obtained in [\textit{Y. Frégier} et al., New York J. Math. 15, 353--392 (2009; Zbl 1183.14004)].
