    The main result of this paper is Theorem 1.2, where it is proved that in \(\mathcal{E}\) is an essential small exact category with a cogenerator \(G\) then there exists a bejection between the dense \(G\)-resolving subcategories of \(\mathcal{E}\) and the subgroups of the Grothendieck group associated to \(\mathcal{E}\) that contain the images of \(G\). This is motivated by \textit{R. W. Thomason}'s classification of dense triangulated subcategories of essentially small triangulated categories [Compos. Math. 105, No. 1, 1--27 (1997; Zbl 0873.18003)].
