This article is concerned with general Dirac systems \[ y'(x,z) = \mathrm{i}(zj + j V(x)) y(x,z) \] on the semi-axis, where \[ j = \begin{bmatrix} I_{m_1} & 0 \\ 0 & -I_{m_2} \end{bmatrix}, \qquad V = \begin{bmatrix} 0 & v \\ \breve{v} & 0 \end{bmatrix}, \] \(m_1\), \(m_2\in\mathbb{N}\), \(I_{m_i}\) is the \(m_i\times m_i\) identity matrix, \(v\) is an integrable \(m_1\times m_2\) matrix function and \(\breve{v}\) is an integrable \(m_2\times m_1\) matrix function. Two important cases are discussed separately; the self-adjoint case when \(\breve{v}=v^\ast\) and the skew-self-adjoint case when \(\breve{v}=-v^\ast\). It is shown in both cases that the associated Weyl functions are unique analytic extensions of the reflection coefficients. In particular, this allows to establish procedures to recover the Dirac systems from the reflection coefficients. For rational reflection coefficients, the systems are recovered explicitly.
