The \textit{Brauer-Picard group} of a \textit{finite tensor category} \(\mathsf C\) is defined as the group of the equivalence classes of invertible \(\mathsf C\)-bimodule categories, with the multiplication provided by the \(\mathsf C\)-module tensor product in [\textit{P. Etingof} et al., Quantum Topol. 1, No. 3, 209--273 (2010; Zbl 1214.18007)]. By a result in [\textit{A. Davydov} and \textit{D. Nikshych}, Algebra Number Theory 7, No. 6, 1365--1403 (2013; Zbl 1284.18015)], it is isomorphic to the group of the isomorphism classes of braided autoequivalences of the Drinfeld center of \(\mathsf C\). The paper under review aims at a study of this group for finite tensor categories \(\mathsf C\) which arise as the category of finite dimensional modules of a finite dimensional Hopf algebra; in particular the Hopf algebra spanned by a finite group. In this case, the Brauer-Picard group of \(\mathsf C\) has two canonical subgroups (induced by the Hopf algebra and its dual, respectively), and a further set of distinguished elements called \textit{partial dualizations}. The main result asserts that the so-called \textit{lazy elements} of the Brauer-Picard group of the category of finite dimensional representations of a finite group \(G\) decompose into an ordered product of elements in the above canonical subgroups and a partial dualization. This extends the Bruhat decomposition in the case of an abelian group \(G\). The results are interpreted from the point of view of three dimensional topological quantum field theory.
