Let \(\mathfrak{g}\) be a simple Lie algebra over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. If \(\mathfrak{p}\) is a maximal truncated parabolic subalgebra of \(\mathfrak{g}\), the authors consider the Poisson centre \(Y(\mathfrak{p})\), which is known to be a polynomial algebra in types A and C, for certain families in types B and D, and also for certain parabolic subalgebras if \(\mathfrak{g}\) is of exceptional type. For all these situations, except type A, adapted pairs are constructed, and thus a slice for the coadjoint action of \(\mathfrak{p}\) is obtained. The type A case is already known from \textit{A. Joseph} [J. Algebra 319, No. 12, 5060--5100 (2008; Zbl 1151.17004)].
