Let \(R\) be a commutative Noetherian ring. Then a finitely generated \(R\)-module \(C\) is said to be \textit{semidualizing} if \[ \text{Hom}_R(C,C)\cong R\text{ and }\text{Ext}^i_R(C,C)=0 \] for all integers \(i\geq 1\). In [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 369, No. 11, 8061--8086 (2017; Zbl 1397.16007)], \textit{O. Celikbas} et al. showed that the vanishing of stable homology over commutative Noetherian local rings can detect modules of finite projective, injective and Gorenstein dimensions. Furthermore, \textit{I. Emmanouil} and \textit{P. Manousaki} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 221, No. 9, 2198--2219 (2017; Zbl 1367.16004)] studied stable homology of modules, and gave some vanishing results that improve results in [Celikbas et al., loc. cit.]. In the paper under review, the author prove that the vanishing of stable homology can also detect modules of finite homological dimension with respect to a semidualizing module.
