The authors consider a nonlinear first-order dissipative 2D system of differential equations which is a model of the fluid movement that occurs in vertical columns of the medium. Pressure is a power of density. The authors prove global \(L^\infty\) boundedness of weak entropy solutions in time using the invariant region theory.
