In this paper, the author studies the problem when apparent singularities appear after differentiation of the hypergeometric equation and the Heun equation. He also gives a relation between the Heun equation and the sixth Painlevé equation. Linear systems related to the hypergeometric equation and the so-called deformed Heun equation are also presented.
