The author establishes a formulation of the arithmetic Gan-Gross-Prasad Conjecture for \(\mathrm{U}(2) \times \mathrm{U}(3)\) by employing theta lifts as opposed to relative trace formulas. Specifically, Theorem 5.3 contains a variant that only relies on regular models for the involved Shimura varieties, which are supposed to be compact throughout. The introduction contains a detailed overview of the methods and its merits compared to the approach via trace formulas. The main caveat is that the involved automorphic representations must be theta lifts for the approach to work, aligning with the limits of the method in the case of the usual Gan-Gross-Prasad Conjecture.
