This paper deals with the Volterra property of a class of anisotropic pseudodifferential operators on \(\mathbb{R}\times B\), where \(B\) is a manifold with edge of dimension \(q>0\), the time variable is denoted by \(t\) and covariable -- by \(\tau\). The space \(\mathbb{R}\times B\) also has an edge, namely by \(\mathbb{R}\times Y\). The authors find non-smoothing elements in a subalgebra having anisotropic symbols of Mellin type with holomorphic symbols in the complex covariable \(\tau\in\{v\in\mathbb{C},\, \text{Im\,}V<0,\,v=\tau+ i\sigma\}\). This way, the resulting space of Volterra operators enlarges the approach of \textit{T. Buchholz} [Parabolische Pseudodifferentialoperatoren mit operatorwertigen Symbolen. Potsdam: Universität Potsdam (PhD Thesis) (1996)]. The approach here developed avoids some difficulties in choosing Volterra quantizations in the edge calculus. To do this, generalizations of some previous results from the isotropic edge calculus due to \textit{J. Seiler} [Pseudodifferential calculus on manifolds with non-compact edges. Potsdam: Univ. Potsdam, Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftliche Fakultät (1997; Zbl 0904.58057)] and \textit{J. Gil} are established [in: [\textit{M. Demuth} (ed.) and \textit{B.-W. Schulze} (ed.), Differential equations, asymptotic analysis, and mathematical physics. Papers associated with the international conference on partial differential equations. Berlin: Akademie Verlag (1997; Zbl 0864.00061); \textit{J. B. Gil} et al., Osaka J. Math. 37, No. 1, 221--260 (2000; Zbl 1005.58010)].
