The author defines the Hausdorff operator on complex-valued functions \(f\) on \(\mathbb Q_p^n\) as \[ (\mathcal H_{\varphi,A}f)(x)=\int\limits_{\mathbb Q_p^n}\varphi (t)f(A(t)x)\,d\mu (t), \] where \(A(t)\) is a nonsingular continuous matrix-function, \(\varphi\) is a measurable function, and the above objects are such that the integral exists. More generally, the Hausdorff operator can be defined as a limit of the integral transforms of the above type. These definitions follow the well-known ones from real analysis; see \textit{F. Móricz} [Anal. Math. 31, No. 1, 31--41 (2005; Zbl 1093.47036)]. The author gives sufficient conditions for the boundedness of the above operator in the \(p\)-adic Hardy and BMO spaces. Commutation relations with the Riesz transforms are found.
