This article is about phase tropical varieties. These are tropical varieties admitting a fibration, with fibers coamoebas (tori over facets) over a tropical limit of an algebraic variety. The authors prove that given a compley hypersurface, there is an associated phase tropical hypersurface homeomorphic to it. This proves a conjecture of Viro, and brings in new tools to the field of tropical enumerative geometry. In particular, one can pull-back the structure of a complex hypersurface to the phase tropical hypersurface which has various computational advantages. Throughout the article many examples of phase tropical hypersurfaces, in particular coverings of phase tropical pairs-of-pants are illustrated, along with beautiful pictures.
