Homomorhisms of Moufang-Veldkamp planes (Q1801613)

Moufang-Veldkamp planes are generalized projective planes namely those which can be coordinatized by unital alternative rings of stable rank 2 [\textit{J. R. Faulkner}, Geom. Dedicata 14, 189-201 (1983; Zbl 0524.51004)]. Any ``nontrivial'' homomorphism between such rings \(R\), \(R'\) induces a homomorphism between the corresponding planes \(P_ 2(R)\), \(P_ 2(R')\) (3.1). Theorem (4.6) shows which homomorphisms between planes can be described in such a way.
