Im vorliegenden Beitrag handelt es sich darum, daß Hieronymus Saccherius in seinem ``Euclides'' von 1733 -- ``in spite of how strange to us such an interpretation may be, it is the correct interpretation of this quoted text'' (S. 537) -- das Parallelenpostulat zu beweisen trachtete, während die Ebene der ``Elemente'' doch ``obviously has no point at infinity'' (S. 537).
