The paper is concerned with the computation of the duals of some finite dimensional pointed Hopf algebras. If \(H=\bigoplus_{n\geq 0}H_n\) is a graded Hopf algebra over a field \(k\) such that the homogeneous components \(H_n\) are finite dimensional and \(H^0=H_0\) is semisimple, then \(H\) is coradically graded and is generated as an algebra by the homogeneous components of degree 0 and 1 if and only if so is the dual of \(H\). With the assumption that \(k\) is algebraically closed, it is proved as a corollary that for Hopf algebras of the form \({\mathcal B}(V)\#k\Gamma\), where \(\Gamma\) is a finite Abelian group, \(V\) a finite dimensional Yetter-Drinfeld module over \(\Gamma\), and \({\mathcal B}(V)\) is the Nichols algebra of \(V\), we have that \(H^*\simeq{\mathcal B}(W)\#k\widehat\Gamma\), where \(\widehat\Gamma\) is the character group of \(\Gamma\) and \(W\) is a certain Yetter-Drinfeld module over \(\widehat\Gamma\). This allows an explicit description of \(\text{gr}(D(H))\), where \(D(H)\) is the Drinfeld double of \(H\). Some general results about duals of Hopf algebras \(A\) with \(\text{gr }A\simeq{\mathcal B}(V)\#k\Gamma\) (such \(A\)'s are called liftings of \({\mathcal B}(V)\#k\Gamma\)) are obtained. In particular \(A^*\) is described when \(\dim V=1\) and in some cases for \(\dim V=2\). Several interesting examples are provided with complete computations. Among them we mention the computation of the duals of all pointed Hopf algebras of dimension 16, and of the Hopf algebras in an infinite class of dimension 32.
