For the difference equation \((1+ p)x_n= x_{n-1}+ qx_n/(r+ x^m_{n-k})\) with \(0< p< 1\), \(k\in \mathbb{N}\), positive \(q\), \(r\), \(m\) and \(p< q/r< 1+ p\) it is shown that the positive solutions are uniformly persistent. Conditions are given such that all positive solutions oscillate about the equilibrium \(x^*\), and that \(x^*\) is locally resp. globally asymptotically stable.
