In the paper under review, algebras are taken to be associative and finite-dimensional over an algebraically closed field. An algebra \(\Lambda\) is quasi-tilted if it is of global dimension at most 2, and every indecomposable representation has either projective or injective dimension less than or equal to 1. This is equivalent to stipulating that \(\Lambda\simeq\text{End}_H(T)^{\text{op}}\) for some tilting object \(T\) in a hereditary category \(H\) (e.g., \(H\) could be the category of finite-dimensional modules over a hereditary algebra, or the category of sheaves on a weighted projective line). The paper under review provides a nice review of relevant facts about quasi-tilted algebras. For fixed dimension vector \(\mathbf d\), there is a variety \(\text{mod}_\Lambda(\mathbf d)\) parametrizing \(\Lambda\)-modules of dimension vector \(\mathbf d\) along with a fixed basis. The main theorem states that when \(\Lambda\) is tame quasi-tilted, and \(\mathbf d\) the dimension vector of an indecomposable \(\Lambda\)-module, then each irreducible component of \(\text{mod}_\Lambda(\mathbf d)\) is regular in codimension one. (There are at most two such irreducible components, by a theorem of Bobiński and Skowroński.)
