The authors derive an optimal lower bound for the best constant \(\mu_{p,{H},\omega}(\Omega)\) in the weighted anisotropic Poincaré inequality \[ \inf_{t\in\mathbb{R}}\|u-t\|_{L^p_\omega(\Omega)}\leq \frac{1}{[\mu_{p,{H},\omega}(\Omega)]^{1/p}} \|H(\nabla u)\|_{L^p_\omega(\Omega)}, \] where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) is a bounded and convex domain, \(L^p_\omega(\Omega)\) is the weighted Lebesgue space with \(p\in(1,\infty)\) and a log-concave weight \(\omega,\) and \(H\) belongs to the set \(\mathcal{H}(\mathbb{R}^n)\) of the lower semicontinuous functions which are positive in \(\mathbb{R}^n\setminus\{0\}\) and positively \(1\)-homogeneous. The main result obtained reads as follows. Let \(H\in \mathcal{H}(\mathbb{R}^n)\) with a polar function \(H^0.\) Then \[ \mu_{p,{H},\omega}(\Omega)=\inf_{u\in W^{1,\infty}(\Omega),\;\int_\Omega |u|^{p-2}u\omega dx=0}\dfrac{\displaystyle \int_\Omega H(\nabla u)^p\omega dx}{\displaystyle \int_\Omega |u|^p\omega dx}\geq \left(\frac{\pi_p}{D_H(\Omega)}\right)^p, \] where \(D_H(\Omega)=\sup_{x,y\in\Omega}H^0(y-x)\) and \(\pi_p=2\pi\frac{(p-1)^{1/p}}{p\sin(\pi/p)}.\)
