The authors present a solution method for an inverse scattering problem for integrable 2-dimensional quantum field theories, specified in terms of a given massive single particle spectrum and a factorizing S-matrix. One allows an arbitrary number of massive particles transforming under a global compact gauge group. Such a way one generalizes the simplest scalar case. The authors construct the 2 particle S-matrix, which is assumed to be an analytic solution of a Young-Baxter equation with properties of unitarity, TCP invariance and cross symmetry. One use methods from operator algebra and complex analysis, obtaining solution for inverse scattering problem. Particularly the diagonal S-matrix and \(O(N)\) invariant nonlinear \(\sigma\)-models satisfy the conditions, one prove.
