Based on authors' abstract: In this paper the authors study the Moser-Trudinger functional \(E: H^1_0(B_1)\to \mathbb R\), defined as \[ E(u)=\int_{B_1}\left( e^{u^2}-1\right)\,dx\,, \] where \(B_1\) is the unit disk in \(\mathbb R^2\). In particular, they consider the restriction \(E_{| M_\Lambda}\), where for any \(\Lambda>0\) \[ M_\Lambda=\{u\in H^1_0(B_1) : \|u\|_{H^1_0}=\Lambda\}\,, \] and prove that if a sequence \(u_k\) of positive critical points of \(E_{| M_{\Lambda_k}}\) blows up as \(k\to +\infty\), then \(\Lambda_k\to 4\pi\), and \(u_k\to 0\) weakly in \(H^1_0(B_1)\) and strongly in \(C^1_{loc}(\overline B_1\setminus \{0\})\). They also show that if \(\Lambda\) is large enough, then \(E_{| M_\Lambda}\) has no positive critical point.
