Under consideration is the one-dimensional Schrödinger operator \(P=-\frac{d^{2}}{dx^{2}}+V(x)\) (\(x\in {\mathbb R}\)), where the potential admits the representation \(V=\sum_{i=1}^{N}s_{i}(x)W_{i}(x)\), with \(s_{i}\in C({\mathbb R})\) a periodic functions of period \(\pi\) and \(W_{i}\in C^{\infty}({\mathbb R})\) have analytic continuations into the domain \(\{z=x+iy: |x|\geq R_{0},\ |y|\leq K|x|\}\) with the estimate \(|W_{i}(z)|\leq C|z|^{-\mu}\) for some \(K,R_{0},C,\mu>0\). Let \(\Upsilon=\{n^{2}:\ n=0,1,\ldots\}\) and \(R_{+}(z)=(z-P)^{-1}\), \(\mathrm{Im\,} z>0\). First, it is proved that there exists a complex neighborhood \(\Omega\subset {\mathbb C}\) of \([0,\infty)\setminus \Upsilon\) such that, for every \(f,g\in L_{2,\mathrm{comp}}({\mathbb R})\), the function \((f,R_{+}(z)g)\) admits a meromorphic continuation into \(\Omega\). Consider the resolvent \(R_{+}\) in \(\Omega\). A complex number \(z\) is called a resonance if \(z\) is a pole of \((f,R_{+}(z)g)\) for some \(f,g\in L_{2,comp}({\mathbb R})\). Let \(P_{\varepsilon}=P-i\varepsilon x^{2}\). The operator \(P_{\varepsilon}\) has a discrete spectrum. In this case, it is proved that the set of resonances can be characterized as limit points of the eigenvalues of \(P_{\varepsilon}\) as \(\varepsilon\to 0\).
