This paper is concerned with trace versions of the Hardy inequality in the geometric setting of the Euclidean space with a cut across an interface. The interface is defined as a bounded, non-closed hypersurface (with a connected exterior). The ordinary trace is replaced by its jump across the interface. An analogous trace Hardy inequality is also provided for a class of unbounded cuts (hypercones). The paper ends with generalizations for cuts with non-trivial topology such as Möbius strips.
