A diffeological space is a space \(X\) along with a collection of functions \(f: U \rightarrow \ X\), called plots, where \(U\) runs over open subsets of Euclidean spaces. Plots must satisfy three conditions, 1. Covering, 2. Smooth compatibility, and 3. A Sheaf condition. Smooth manifolds are diffeological spaces. The authors define the notion of a diffeological bundle, and give an example to show that absent further conditions a diffeological bundle on a contractible space need not be a product. They introduce the notion of a D-numerable bundle which requires that the local product structure in the bundle can be subordinated to a smooth partition of unity. The main result of the paper is to show that there are classifying spaces for D-numerable diffeological principal bundles. Specifically the authors give a smooth structure for the Minor principal \(G\) bundle \(EG \ \rightarrow \ BG\) and show that it is a D-numerable bundle. The methods parallel the classical case but with some extra care required.
