A Lie superalgebra \(\mathfrak g\) is said to be linearly compact when it is endowed with a topology such that: as a topological space, \(\mathfrak g\) is complete, and there exists a fundamental system of neighborhoods of \(0\) which consists of finite-codimensional subspaces. Interest in linearly compact superalgebras comes from the problem of classifying operator product expansions and finite conformal superalgebras. The classification of infinite-dimensional simple linearly compact Lie superalgebras was given by \textit{V. G. Kac} [Adv. Math. 139, No. 1, 1--55 (1998; Zbl 0929.17026)]. Kac's classification consists of \(10\) infinite families plus \(5\) exceptional superalgebras. The exceptional ones are denoted \(E(1,6)\), \(E(3,6)\), \(E(3,8)\), \(E(4,4)\) and \(E(5,10)\). In this paper, the authors develop the representation theory of the linearly compact superalgebra \(E(5,10)\). More specifically, they study the so-called finite Verma modules. For the Lie superalgebra \(\mathfrak g = E(5,10)\), there exists a \(\mathbb Z\)-grading \(\mathfrak g = \bigoplus_{d \in \mathbb Z} \mathfrak g_d\) such that \(\mathfrak g_d \ne 0\) only if \(d \ge -2\). Moreover, the subalgebra \(\mathfrak g_0\) is isomorphic to \(\mathfrak{sl}_5\) and \(\mathfrak g_{\ge0} = \bigoplus_{d \ge 0} \mathfrak g_d\) is a maximal open subalgebra of \(\mathfrak g\) of minimal codimension. For every finite-dimensional irreducible \(\mathfrak g_0\)-module \(F\), one can consider it as a \(\mathfrak g_{\ge0}\)-module by setting \(\mathfrak g_d \cdot F = 0\) for all \(d > 0\). Thus, one defines the corresponding finite Verma module \(V(F)\) to be the induced module \[ V(F) := U(\mathfrak g) \otimes_{U(\mathfrak g_{\ge0})} F. \] The main result of this paper (Theorem~10.1) provides a complete classification of singular vectors in finite Verma \(E(5,10)\)-modules.
