This paper gives an upper bound on the dimension \(h^0(C,E)\) of global sections of a semistable vector bundle \(E\) over a smooth curve \(C\) on a projective \(K3\) surface \(X\). It yields a new estimation of the higher rank Clifford index of \(C\), which is the minimum of the Clifford indices \(\operatorname{Cliff}(E) := \frac{d}{r}-\frac{2}{r}h^0(C,E)+2\) for semistable \(E\) of rank \(r\) and degree \(d\). The bound of \(h^0(C,E)\) is computed by the length of the Harder-Narasimhan filtration for the \(\iota_* E\) with respect to a limit Bridgeland stability condition \(\sigma_0\) of \(D^b(X)\), where \(\iota: C \hookrightarrow X\) is the embedding, and the limit condition \(\sigma_0\) is such that \(Z(\mathcal{O}_X) \to 0\). The length is estimated by describing the destabilizing wall for \(\iota_* E\) that bounds the large volume limit chamber where \(\iota_* E\) is stable.
