This paper applies a strategy developed by the author in her earlier work [Algebr. Geom. Topol. 20, No. 2, 817--863 (2020; Zbl 1470.19001)] to compute the \(\mathrm{V}(1)\)-homotopy of the topological Hochschild homology spectrum of the algebraic \(K\)-theory spectrum of finite fields at primes \(p\geqslant 5\) away from the characteristic. This computation is interesting for the novelty of the techniques alone. In addition, we can see it as a step towards the \(K\)-theory of the algebraic \(K\)-theory spectrum of finite fields and the related red-shift conjecture for that case. There is some overlap with the recent results of \textit{G. Angelini-Knoll} [J. Topol. 14, No. 1, 258--290 (2021; Zbl 1491.19002); ``Detecting the \(\beta\)-family in iterated algebraic \(K\)-theory of finite fields'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1810.10088}], but the methods are different.
