Let \(X\) be a nonsingular projective variety of general type with \(\dim X=n\). Then, by a result of \textit{C. D. Hacon} and \textit{J. McKernan} [Invent. Math. 166, No. 1, 1--25 (2006; Zbl 1121.14011)], \textit{S. Takayama} [Invent. Math. 165, No. 3, 551--587 (2006; Zbl 1108.14031)] and \textit{H. Tsuji} [Osaka J. Math. 43, No. 4, 967--995 (2006; Zbl 1142.14012)], there exists a constant \(c(n)\), which depends only on dimension such that the pluricanonical map \(\phi_{m}\) corresponding to the linear system \(|mK_{X}|\) is birational onto its image for all integer \(m\geq c(n)\) and for all \(X\) with \(\dim X=n\). It is known that \(c(1)=3\), \(c(2)=5\) and \(c(3)\leq 57\) hold for \(n\leq 3\). \\ In this paper, the author studied \(c(4)\) under the assumption that the geometric genus \(p_{g}(X)\) is greater than or equal to \(2\). As a previous research, \textit{J. A. Chen} and \textit{M. Chen} [Compos. Math. 151, No. 6, 1041--1082 (2015; Zbl 1329.14030)] obtained \(c(4)\leq 35\). In this paper, the author improved this result and proved \(c(4)\leq 33\). Moreover, the author proved \(\mbox{Vol}(X)\geq \frac{1}{480}\), where \(\mbox{Vol}(X)\) denotes the canonical volume of \(X\).
