The authors continue their previous work on amenability and flatness of topological algebras and modules beyond the case of Banach and Fréchet algebras for the class of complete barrelled DF-algebras. In particular, they extend the Helemskii-Sheinberg criterion for Johnson amenabilty (in the sense that all derivations are inner) from the category of Banach algebras to the larger one of complete barrelled DF-algebras. They provide concrete characterizations for Köthe co-echelon algebras, i.e., locally convex inductive limits of weighted \(\ell^p\)-spaces with the coordinate-wise multiplication (which is well-defined under some restrictive conditions on the weights) with applications to algebras of germs of holomorphic functions.
